The Giraffe Bottle Journey is an assistive hydration system designed for people with full lung function, with limited upper body mobility. The Journey does not have the black modular assembly that defines with Giraffe Bottle Tower. Instead, it features a super-flexible drinking tube, bite valve, and clothing clip to assist in positioning. The drinking tube is the same size as the Tower XL, making it a great option for people with full lung function. Giraffe Bottle-brand water bottles are compatible with every type of Giraffe Bottle system (Tower, Tower XL, and Journey), and you can convert your system to another by getting a starter kit for that system. However, the neck assemblies themselves aren't compatible - the large Journey/Tower XL tubing doesn't fit into the standard Tower neck.

If you have a Giraffe Bottle that isn't a Journey and you want to use the Journey neck, you need the Journey Starter kit, which also includes the Journey cap adapter and extra large tube cleaning brush.
• •REPLACE MONTHLY - Depending on frequency of use, it is recommended that the drinking tube and bite valve be replaced monthly for hygiene purposes.
• •47.75 INCH LENGTH - The total length of the drinking tube is 47.75 inches / 121 cm. Because some the drinking tube has to be inserted into the bottle, the total length coming out of the cap is about 36 inches / 91 cm.
• •REMOVABLE BITE VALVE - The bite valve allows the user to control the flow of the liquid, so that it won't leak when not in use, and prevents liquid from flowing back into the bottle. Keeping liquid primed and at-the-ready inside the length of the straw makes staying hydrated a breeze. Note that the bite valve is not recommended for small children or users without strong mouth function due to risk of choking.
