It's ABS end caps with a revolutionary hands-free holding ledge won’t slip when placed or slide on an edge of a surface. This T-Square features a sliding head that easily adjusts to any angle and a screw lock that keeps the head in any position that you set. The 317 also folds for easy carrying and storage. The printed scale along its profile and etched angle markings in 1/16" and 1/8". What are the measurements on the rule? The 317 comes in 1/8" only in North America. Are the markings etched or printed? The 317's markings are printed. Does it click into place? No, the 317 holds in place via a screw lock. There is a groove at 90° and angle markings to help guide you. Do the red ledges come off? The red ledges are not intended to be removed, although it is possible. Replacement ledges are available via private message. Is the 317 certified 90°? No, the 317 cannot be certified 90° as it is an adjustable tool, not a permanently fixed tool. There is a groove at 90° to help guide you, but it is possible to not get a true 90° if not placed correctly. If you need true 90°, get a fixed t-square.
